Windows DevOps Engineer

About the role

Medtronic’s CathWorks team is looking for a Windows platform expert to secure, harden, and automate the deployment of the Windows‑based FFRangio system used in cardiac catheterisation labs. You will work at the intersection of low‑level Windows internals and modern DevOps practices to deliver a reproducible, compliant environment for a regulated medical device.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain PowerShell automation for system configuration, hardening, and deployment of FFRangio workstations.
• Define BIOS/UEFI security settings, TPM trust chains, and manage BitLocker encryption with key recovery.
• Create and manage VHD/VHDX images and build CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for automated image build, test, and deployment.
• Collaborate with software, QA, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with medical‑device quality standards.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Windows systems engineering, security, or automation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across the Windows boot chain and security stack.

Required skills

• PowerShell scripting (primary automation tool).
• BIOS/UEFI, TPM, Secure Boot, BitLocker, Group Policy, AppLocker, Kiosk/Assigned Access.
• VHD/VHDX creation, MDT, DISM, Sysprep, WinPE.
• Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline construction, Git version control.
• Additional scripting in Python or C# and familiarity with Intune or other MDM solutions.
