Software Engineer – Real‑time Imaging for Interventional Cardiology

About the role

Medtronic’s CathWorks team is seeking a Software Engineer to develop next‑generation software for interventional cardiology. You will design, code, debug, test, and maintain real‑time angiographic imaging applications used in the cath lab.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and implement operating system components, software tools, and utilities.
• Collaborate with algorithm developers, test engineers, biomedical engineers, and product specialists in an agile environment.
• Deliver R&D systems and initiatives from design through implementation, ensuring compliance with policies.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Software Developer.

Required skills

• High proficiency in C/C++, C#.NET.
• Experience with WPF and strong object‑oriented design.
• Multithreading and GPU programming (CUDA preferred).
• Computer vision, image processing, MATLAB/MATLAB API.
• VTK, OpenGL, and medical imaging libraries (e.g., DCMTK).
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
