Senior Software Automation Engineer

About the role

Medtronic seeks a Senior Software Automation Engineer to develop and execute test automation verification and validation for its cutting‑edge medical products. The role involves applying technical expertise to solve complex problems with creativity while collaborating across global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test strategies, including requirements traceability matrices and data‑driven testing approaches.
• Design, develop, test, maintain and document software testing components using AI code editors, agentic coding and automated pipelines.
• Participate in all product development phases, reviewing requirements, design, usability, risk assessment and test execution.
• Troubleshoot, debug, maintain and support existing products and communicate findings to project teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 4+ years experience, or equivalent advanced degree.
• Strong knowledge of software design, development, debug and test practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Hebrew also required) and ability to work in a global team.

Required skills

• Automation systems debugging and performance analysis.
• Automated UI testing with Cypress, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST API, HTML and CSS.
• CI/CD pipeline setup for automated test execution and reporting.
• Design of AI agents, automation pipelines and multi‑agent orchestration in regulated environments.
