Process Engineer - Medical Devices

About the role

Medtronic is hiring a Process Engineer for its Yokneam site, working on-site and reporting to the engineering manager. The role leads improvements in efficiency, quality and safety across manufacturing operations, working with production, quality, maintenance and operations teams. Some travel may be required for other sites, projects or training.

Key responsibilities

• Own all manufacturing processes on the production floor, including pFMEA, equipment URS, working instructions, test methods, packaging instructions and production training.
• Ensure processes follow regulations and monitor documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manage projects: timelines, scope of work and budget.
• Implement jigs, fixtures and other manufacturing support tools for medical device assembly and testing.
• Improve processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining and material handling.
• Design sequences of operations and procedures for tool and equipment fabrication.
• Support statistical process control and issue specification requirements for equipment use.
• Drive continuous improvement through Medtronic Performance System (MPS) methodologies and Yokneam operations KPIs (yield, scrap, quality, safety, OEE).
• Partner with production, quality, operations and R&D sustain teams.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or another manufacturing-focused engineering field.
• At least 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals or process industries.
• English written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, execution and communication skills, with a big-picture mindset.

Preferred qualifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Lead Auditor (ISO 13485) certification.
