Mid-Level Backend Engineer

About the role

Salesforce is seeking a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to build high‑quality, production‑grade software that integrates AI agents into human workflows. You will work in a hybrid model with a world‑class engineering team, contributing to the stability and scalability of the core CRM platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship backend services using modern engineering practices, with AI tools embedded in the workflow.
• Orchestrate complex systems where AI agents interact seamlessly with human users, driving efficiency at scale.
• Maintain shared system context repositories to ensure AI operates accurately and reliably.
• Critically evaluate both human‑written and AI‑generated code for quality, security, and performance.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including design, implementation, code reviews, automation, and testing.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Deep knowledge of object‑oriented programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, Scala, C#, Go, Node.js, or C++.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and non‑relational databases (Postgres, Trino, Redshift, MongoDB).
• Experience building SaaS products on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Demonstrated AI‑first engineering mindset, using tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Codex.
