Manufacturing Engineer (9-Month Temporary Contract)

About the role

Medtronic's Jerusalem Manufacturing Engineering function supports reliable, compliant and efficient production of medical devices, working with Operations, Quality, Maintenance and Supply Chain to sustain processes, introduce equipment and expand capacity. This is a temporary, 9-month contract position with a hybrid work model requiring onsite presence to support manufacturing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor manufacturing processes using statistical process control and develop effective process-monitoring techniques
• Lead small to medium projects for selecting, installing, qualifying and implementing new manufacturing equipment
• Investigate process and equipment failures using structured root-cause analysis and support nonconformance, corrective and preventive actions
• Create and maintain engineering change orders, work instructions, equipment files, validation protocols and validation reports
• Manage equipment and capacity requirements according to production demand and ensure compliance with medical-device regulations and quality-system requirements
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance and Supply Chain to resolve production issues and implement improvements
• Prioritize engineering deliverables based on business needs, project criticality, product quality and production continuity

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, Biomedical Engineering or an equivalent discipline
• At least 3 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience
• Experience managing small to medium engineering projects
• Proficiency in written and spoken Hebrew and English

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Six Sigma methods and structured root-cause analysis
• Experience in the medical-device industry or another regulated manufacturing environment
• Experience with process and equipment qualification or validation
• Experience using SOLIDWORKS
