Lead / Senior Offensive Security Engineer (AI Automation)

About the role

Salesforce is seeking a Lead or Senior Offensive Security Engineer to join the Offensive Security Automation team. The role focuses on performing security assessments and vulnerability research using internal AI tools and frontier models, while designing automation to scale offensive testing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform security assessments and vulnerability research across web applications, APIs, and cloud/hybrid infrastructure using AI‑driven tools.
• Develop autonomous harnesses and agent‑based workflows that direct frontier models to conduct continuous offensive testing.
• Run end‑to‑end engagements: scoping, execution, reporting, and remediation guidance.
• Identify systemic architectural weaknesses and partner with engineering and security teams to implement secure‑by‑default fixes.

Required profile

• 6+ years (Senior) or 8+ years (Lead) of hands‑on offensive security experience (pentesting, red teaming, or security research).
• Deep knowledge of cloud and web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10+, identity/authz attacks, cloud attack surfaces).
• Proven experience using internal AI tools and frontier models to accelerate security testing.

• Software engineering fundamentals: system design, API integration, distributed services.
• Scripting and custom tooling development.
