Junior Backend Software Engineer

About the role

ERGO NEXT is looking for a Junior Backend Software Engineer to join its fast‑growing team. You will work with modern backend technologies, primarily server‑side Kotlin, and help deliver clean, testable code that moves quickly through a CI/CD pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, marketing, and front‑end teams to iterate rapidly on features.
• Own features from design through coding to production, ensuring high quality and test coverage.
• Work across multiple products and teams to solve complex problems end‑to‑end.
• Adopt AI tooling and incorporate AI‑driven capabilities into daily workflows.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of proven backend development experience.
• Experience with Java/Kotlin or similar languages such as Python or .NET.
• Background in a SaaS environment with end‑to‑end project ownership.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts and best practices.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast‑changing environment and communicate effectively.
