System Integrator – Land Systems (Technical Field Engineer)

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Field, Training & Pre‑Sales Engineer to act as the technical bridge between ASIO’s land‑system products and customers. The role combines hands‑on system integration, live demonstrations, training delivery and support for the sales process in defence‑technology environments.

Key responsibilities

• Present and demonstrate ASIO’s land‑system solutions at customer sites, partner locations and industry conferences.
• Conduct technical briefings, proof‑of‑concept sessions and pilot evaluations from setup through operation.
• Deliver customer training and create instructional material for operational use.
• Lead system bring‑up, configuration and Tier 1 technical support at field locations, including connectivity and GNSS‑denied scenarios.
• Support the technical side of the sales cycle: gather requirements, respond to RFIs/RFPs and tailor presentations for operators to senior command.
• Maintain and improve demo environments, scenarios and training assets.
• Collect field feedback and translate it into actionable insights for product and engineering teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years in pre‑sales, solutions or systems engineering within defence‑tech or comparable complex‑system domains.
• Hands‑on experience with mission‑critical, field‑deployed systems and operational environments.
• Proven ability to present complex technical solutions to diverse audiences.
• Strong problem‑solving, self‑learning and independent troubleshooting capabilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English and willingness to travel internationally.
• Eligibility to obtain required security clearance.
