Engineering Manager

About the role

The Engineering Manager leads all engineering and maintenance operations for a hospitality property in Herzliya. This role ensures the safety, security, and protection of assets while overseeing building, grounds, and physical plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the physical plant, including HVAC‑R, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and water‑treatment systems.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
• Control energy usage, recommend conservation measures, and oversee heat, light, and power management.
• Develop specifications, negotiate, and administer service contracts.
• Distribute preventive‑maintenance and repair work orders, monitoring timeliness and quality.
• Oversee maintenance of grounds, guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, vehicles, and recreational facilities.
• Create and execute long‑term preventive‑maintenance and asset‑protection plans.
• Lead renovation and new‑construction projects, manage bids, and supervise contractors to stay on schedule and budget.
• Maintain relationships with city building/zoning departments, fire prevention bureaus, and vendors.
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure high standards of guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED with 4 years of engineering/maintenance experience, or an associate degree in Building & Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, etc., with 2 years experience.
• Technical training in HVAC‑R, electrical, and plumbing systems.
