Senior Systems Engineer - Medical Devices

About the role

Medtronic Endoscopy is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead multidisciplinary system engineering activities for innovative medical device products. The role drives system architecture, leads feasibility research, owns requirements definition, manages technical risk and defines cross-functional integration throughout the product lifecycle, from concept through commercialization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead system architecture and requirements definition, translating user, clinical, business and regulatory needs into clear, traceable system requirements and specifications.
• Drive collaboration across product, marketing, hardware, firmware, software, AI and DQA teams.
• Own system-level integration and performance evaluation activities throughout product development.
• Identify technical risks, perform root-cause investigations and technical trade-off analyses, and develop analysis strategies to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Support technology innovation, feasibility studies and evaluation of new technologies and system concepts.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in hardware, software or biotechnology engineering.
• 8 years of proven experience in system engineering of medical devices, with a strong background in firmware and software.
• Fluent verbal and written communication.
• Preferred: experience with clinical and regulatory activities.
