Senior Analog and RF Engineer

About the role

Medtronic is developing next‑generation capsule endoscopy devices that require high‑performance, low‑power analog and RF communication between the ingestible capsule and an external recorder. As a Senior Analog & RF Engineer you will lead the design and integration of this critical communication path.

Key responsibilities

• Own the analog and RF communication architecture from concept through detailed design and production.
• Collaborate with semiconductor suppliers to define and integrate custom ASIC/SoC solutions.
• Research, evaluate, and select receiver and transmitter architectures (Zero‑IF, Low‑IF/NZ‑IF, Superheterodyne, etc.).
• Perform system‑level RF and analog analysis, including noise, link budget, linearity and interference.
• Design and specify transmitter/receiver signal paths, filtering, amplification, matching networks, and antenna performance.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in ultra‑low‑power analog and RF engineering, preferably in wireless communication systems or RFICs.
• Strong understanding of mixed‑signal SoC architecture and PCB‑level RF implementation.

Required skills

• Analog/RF transmitter and receiver design (filters, LNAs, PAs, mixers, matching networks).
• RF simulation and modeling, antenna design and performance analysis.
• PCB layout, grounding, shielding, power‑ and signal‑integrity for RF.
• Experience with design specifications, lab measurement equipment, and medical device development processes.
