Robotic Start-up Specialist – HUGO Surgical Robotics

About the role

Medtronic is entering the robotic-assisted surgery market and is looking for a Robotic Start-up Specialist to integrate its HUGO RAS system into hospitals in Israel. The role sits within the surgical robotics utilization team, which manages system installation, start-up, customer training, account analysis and optimization of the robotic program. The specialist works with hospital stakeholders to drive complex changes, streamline care pathways and optimize operations. The position is based in northern Israel with easy access to travel to other regions.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate the HUGO RAS system into a hospital, whether expanding an existing program, creating a new one or switching from another platform.
• Meet with robotic program stakeholders and define program goals and metrics, and run regular program reviews.
• Develop a surgeon training plan, coordinate off-site training and arrange proctored cases after training.
• Create a training plan for staff, support them through their learning curve and attend to cases during learning sessions.
• Use change management techniques to gain buy-in from clinical stakeholders and coach staff toward self-sufficiency.
• Work with the field service engineer and hospital staff to prepare the operating room for the HUGO system.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree at minimum (e.g. Biomedical Engineering, Nursing).
• Demonstrable experience of more than 2 years, including knowledge of operating rooms and surgical procedures.
• Fluent in English and Hebrew; speaking more languages is a plus.
• Willingness to travel throughout Israel, including to the far north, more than 75% of the time.
