Senior Strategic Buyer

About the role

The Senior Strategic Buyer will lead project‑based procurement across multiple technology domains, supporting the full lifecycle from system design to serial production. This role ensures optimal sourcing, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of components for high‑tech and defense projects.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify suppliers and subcontractors locally and internationally in line with project requirements.
• Manage ongoing supplier relationships, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with delivery schedules and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, Production, Warehousing, and Quality teams to guarantee smooth material flow.
• Lead negotiations, competitive bidding, and tender processes to achieve cost‑reduction targets.
• Oversee procurement budgets, monitor lead times, and manage payment terms.
• Expedite and track supplier deliveries to meet production timelines.
• Support periodic supplier and subcontractor evaluations.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of procurement experience in high‑tech or defense industries, including supplier and subcontractor management.
• Proven track record in negotiations and contract management with local and international vendors.
• Hands‑on experience with multidisciplinary systems (electronics, mechanics, integrated systems) and familiarity with BOM and NPI processes.
• Strong understanding of supply‑chain logistics, international shipping, and freight.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities in a project‑oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and cross‑functional communication skills.
• Relevant academic degree (Industrial Engineering & Management or Logistics) and mandatory experience with Priority ERP.
