Senior Purchasing Manager – Project Procurement

About the role

The Senior Purchasing Manager will lead project‑based procurement activities across multiple technology domains, from design development through serial production. The role ensures seamless coordination of design, pricing, negotiation and delivery while optimizing procurement processes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify suppliers and Bill‑of‑Materials (BOM) that meet project requirements for both local and international initiatives.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitor schedules, product quality and conduct regular supplier ranking.
• Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, production, warehouse and quality teams to guarantee material flow for production, assembly and integration.
• Drive negotiations, tender scheduling, price comparison and budget management to achieve cost‑saving targets.
• Monitor delivery times, payment terms and ensure compliance with defense‑industry regulations.
• Oversee procurement of integrated systems, including electronics and mechanical components, and support NPI and product‑tree development processes.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of procurement experience in high‑tech or defense sectors, both in Israel and abroad.
• Proven track record in negotiating and managing procurement contracts internationally.
• Hands‑on experience with integrated systems procurement and NPI processes.
• Relevant education such as Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering or a BA in Logistics.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and solve problems in a project environment.
