Senior Software Engineer - CT Image Reconstruction

About the role

GE HealthCare is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Software Engineer to join its Haifa Image Generation group. You will design and develop software for the next generation of CT products, implementing complex image processing algorithms and control logic that enable new premium CT products. The role involves CT reconstruction software, computational tools, algorithm development, control logic, platform and application work, and collaboration with engineers from the US, Sweden, Japan, India and China.

Key responsibilities

• Build, design and implement CT image generation and reconstruction software, including algorithms and applications.
• Lead complex software designs and related discussions.
• Collaborate with system engineers, algorithm developers and other software developers worldwide to implement solutions aligned with shared CT platforms.
• Apply SDLC principles and methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, CI, requirements analysis, documentation, security, scalability, refactoring and testing.
• Assess and optimize the performance of algorithms and applications.
• Take part in developing a common imaging platform for all GEHC imaging products.
• Work on core data structures and algorithms implemented in C++, Python, CUDA and OpenCL.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• More than 5 years of software development experience.
• Strong C++ background and good communication skills, able to collaborate with engineers globally.
• Able to write high-quality, maintainable code and to understand the full end-to-end solution.
• Ability to break down problems, estimate task times and use generative AI tools to improve productivity.
• Advantageous: healthcare software experience, especially medical imaging and CT; GPU-based algorithm development; prior agile/Scrum experience; up-to-date knowledge of technology trends.
