C++ Technical Lead - Driver and Cabin Monitoring

About the role

HARMAN Automotive is looking for a C++ Technical Lead to shape advanced AI-powered in-vehicle driver and cabin monitoring products that combine machine learning, computer vision and high-performance embedded software. This is a hands-on technical leadership role reporting to the Software Group Manager, where you drive architecture and implementation decisions while staying close to the code.

Key responsibilities

• Lead C++ software implementation for advanced embedded hardware platforms and HW-accelerator-based environments
• Drive the technical execution of complex computer vision and ML-based systems for driver and cabin monitoring
• Partner with the group's architect, advise on architecture and act as delegate architect when needed
• Serve as primary technical authority for software architecture, design decisions and implementation quality
• Mentor engineers and raise software engineering best practices and code quality
• Work with algorithm, system and product teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions
• Promote AI-assisted development tools and agent-based engineering workflows
• Optimize software performance for real-time, resource-constrained embedded environments
• Support safety-aware development aligned with automotive industry standards

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• 10+ years of professional experience developing reliable C++ software for embedded, real-time, performance-sensitive systems
• Proven experience as Technical Lead, Software Architect or senior hands-on technical authority
• Comfortable working in a global environment with cross-functional teams across geographies; occasional flexibility in working hours for global collaboration

Required skills

• Strong C++ expertise, software architecture, multithreading and system optimization
• Linux-based embedded software development
• Bonus: computer vision, AI or ML products, ISO 26262 and ASPICE, NVIDIA CUDA, TensorRT, Qualcomm AI frameworks, and driver/occupant monitoring systems
