Senior Security Researcher

About the role

As a Senior Security Researcher on the Axonius Exposures team, you will lead research into vulnerability detection, remediation, and prioritization to strengthen our asset intelligence platform. You will work closely with Product and Development teams to turn technical findings into actionable product features.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end security research projects focused on vulnerability detection, risk prioritization and exposure management.
• Build data analysis pipelines, automate threat research and prototype tools using Python, SQL and AI/LLM technologies.
• Define remediation strategies, compensating controls and configuration‑based mitigations beyond standard patching.
• Partner weekly with Product and Engineering to convert research into production‑ready capabilities.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional experience in security research, vulnerability analysis or penetration testing.
• Proficiency in Python scripting/automation and SQL for querying complex security data sets.
• Hands‑on experience integrating AI/LLMs into technical workflows.
• Understanding of security frameworks and metrics such as CVSS, EPSS and MITRE ATT&CK.
