Security Analyst – Threat Hunting

About the role

Cato Networks is looking for an energetic Security Analyst to join its Managed Detection and Response (MDR) team. You will use the Cato Threat Hunting System and cloud data warehouse to proactively discover unknown threats and advise customers on their security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a Customer Security Advisor, conducting threat‑hunting activities, security assessments and communicating findings and remediation recommendations.
• Serve as an escalation point for SOC analysts, assisting in investigation, analysis and response to security incidents.
• Develop cyber kill‑chain indicators and hunting heuristics to improve the threat‑hunting process.
• Enhance product accuracy and detection capabilities for emerging threats.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience in cybersecurity with strong customer service skills.
• Excellent English communication and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Analytical mindset capable of forming and validating hypotheses through technical evidence.

Required skills

• Networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, SMB, HTTP, IP routing.
• Security technologies: firewalls, IPS/IDS, antivirus, SIEM, endpoint protection, network forensics tools.
• Scripting: Python or Ruby.
• Knowledge of malware analysis, threat hunting, threat intelligence and XDR concepts (advantageous).
