About the role
Applied Materials is seeking a senior Java Software Engineer to develop high‑performance, large‑scale distributed systems for semiconductor equipment. You will work in a Linux environment, leveraging machine learning and AI to create innovative software solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design, prototype, develop, and debug software for next‑generation defect detection products.
- Create software documentation, test procedures, and troubleshoot issues.
- Communicate with internal customers to gather requirements and ensure product quality.
- Make technical decisions to guarantee scalability and performance of applications.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and debugging skills.
- Proven ability to design and implement complex software architectures.
