About the role
Applied Materials is seeking a C/C++ Software Engineer to join the Optical Diagnostics and Control (ODC) Software team in Rehovot. You will develop high‑throughput image‑processing modules optimized for CPU architectures and contribute to cutting‑edge semiconductor manufacturing solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize performance‑critical C/C++ software for next‑generation high‑end processing products.
- Make technical decisions to ensure scalability, CPU efficiency, and real‑time data flow for image processing pipelines.
Required profile
- B.Sc. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands‑on C/C++ development experience on Linux.
Required skills
- C/C++ programming
- Linux development environment
- Image‑processing algorithm optimization on x86 CPUs
- High‑performance data structures and data flow design
- Containerization with Docker
