Senior Buyer – Purchasing Team

About the role

Johnsonelectric is seeking a Senior Buyer to join its purchasing team. The role is responsible for managing budget, quality, delivery and long‑term supply assurance for both new and existing products.

Key responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders aligned with organizational targets and requirements.
• Collaborate with R&D, project managers, NPI, and supply chain to support product launches and ongoing deliveries.
• Monitor shortages, follow up on execution status and manage supplier selection for quality, cost, risk and capability.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects such as alternative materials, cost‑reduction and yield improvement initiatives.
• Maintain purchasing databases (preferred vendors, MOQ, lead times, price lists) and facilitate long‑term agreements with strategic suppliers.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years buyer experience in an industrial setting (mechanics/electronics).
• Strong analytical, negotiation and leadership abilities.
• Methodical, proactive and motivated personality with good English communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
