Production Engineer

About the role

The Production Engineer will define, maintain, and continuously improve production processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and scalability. This role provides hands‑on engineering support to production lines and drives yield, scrap reduction, and cycle‑time improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain production processes, process flows, and work instructions.
• Define and implement engineering methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) to improve quality, yield, and efficiency.
• Provide daily hands‑on troubleshooting and engineering support to production lines.
• Lead root‑cause analysis for process issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive yield improvement, scrap reduction, and cycle‑time optimization initiatives.
• Support new product introductions and process validation in collaboration with NPI and R&D teams.
• Define process parameters, control plans, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead process validation, qualification, and change‑management (ECO) activities.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Test Engineering to ensure compliance and equipment readiness.

Required profile

• BSc in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience as a Production Engineer or Process Engineer in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools.
• Hands‑on experience with SPC, control charts, statistical analysis, PFMEA, and control plans.
• Familiarity with standard work, line balancing, and takt‑time concepts.
• Proven ability to conduct root‑cause analysis using 8D, 5W, and other problem‑solving methods.
