Process Engineer

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Process Engineer to join its Israel office and support the Advanced Manufacturing portfolio. The role focuses on developing, optimizing, and validating production processes for high‑tech sectors such as semiconductors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead process design activities, including mass/energy balances, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing, and process modelling.
• Develop and optimise manufacturing processes to improve throughput, yield, safety, sustainability, and cost efficiency.
• Support FEED, detailed design, commissioning, and start‑up for advanced manufacturing facilities.
• Conduct process hazard analyses (HAZOP, LOPA, ATEX) and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, and project management teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation such as specifications, design reports, operating procedures, and validation protocols.
• Engage with clients to understand requirements, present design solutions, and support decision‑making throughout the project lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot process issues and provide technical guidance during construction and commissioning phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in process engineering within advanced manufacturing or a high‑tech sector.
• Proven experience with process design tools such as Aspen HYSYS or ChemCAD.
• Familiarity with HAZOP studies and ATEX requirements.
