Customer Engineer – Field Service

About the role

As a Customer Engineer at Applied Materials in Kiryat Gat, you will act as the primary liaison with customers, installing, maintaining, and upgrading advanced semiconductor equipment. You will use digital analytics and basic diagnostics to troubleshoot and ensure optimal equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior field service engineers to install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment.
• Use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic techniques.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or Practical Engineer in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or relevant trade certification.
• Willingness to learn and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.

Required skills

• Digital analytics for equipment troubleshooting.
• Basic diagnostic techniques for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with hand tools, digital multimeters, and clean‑room PPE.
