Basic Operation Shift Manager

About the role

The Shift Operation Manager will lead the shift technicians across multiple plant areas, ensuring safety, quality, and timely execution of tasks. Reporting to the Area Manager, this role is part of the Site Leadership Team and works closely with clients and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead change‑management initiatives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in basic operations.
• Develop and maintain objectives, long‑range plans, budgets, and service standards for the client.
• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and promote a “Safety First” culture.
• Plan, schedule, and estimate maintenance activities (PM/CM/Ops) and manage operational spend, reporting and forecasting.
• Supervise multiple teams, provide training, and drive continuous improvement using RCM and Six Sigma methodologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of multi‑functional maintenance and operations experience, preferably in chemical plants.
• Chemical or mechanical engineering qualification.
• Proven leadership in medium/large plant environments and ability to influence high‑demand situations.
• Strong client relationship skills and knowledge of Integrated Facility Management (IFM) operations.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite proficiency.
• Experience with Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Six Sigma.
• Planning, scheduling and budgeting capabilities.
• Analytical problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
