About the role
GDIT is seeking a Network/Systems Administrator to support the USMILGP Israel office and the broader USCENTCOM mission. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and operational support of voice, video, data, and communications systems while providing high‑visibility assistance to VIP personnel.
Key responsibilities
- Administer, test, and support all USMILGP Israel voice, video, data, network, and communications systems, including training and full O&M.
- Provide remote and on‑site technical support for computers, telecommunications, and network equipment such as routers, switches, VoSIPs, and cryptographic devices.
- Implement fixes and patches via registry edits, software updates, and hardware replacements.
- Maintain cabling infrastructure (CAT‑5/6, fiber optics) and ensure proper labeling per USCENTCOM policies.
- Develop and keep up‑to‑date documentation, SOPs, network diagrams, inventories, and COMSEC records.
- Deliver user training for USCENTCOM equipment and support lifecycle planning, procurement, and inventory management.
- Facilitate visitor access requests and coordinate with external organizations to meet mission requirements.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 + years of related IT infrastructure experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for overseas assignment up to one year.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Applicable DoD 8140 or 8570 certification.
Required skills
- Troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems.
- Active Directory administration.
- Microsoft Office suite proficiency.
- Cisco routers and switches configuration and support.
- Cryptographic encryptors (KG‑175D/F) and simple key loaders (SKL) handling.
- VOIP and network equipment maintenance.
- Cabling standards for CAT‑5/6 and fiber optics.
