Full Stack Engineer – GenAI Platform

About the role

Join Optibus' GenAI team to build and extend the AI assistant that is embedded across the company's public‑transportation SaaS suite. The platform is a production LLM‑agent system already shipping to customers, and you will help evolve its quality, capabilities, and integration points.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve LLM agents with tool use, routing, and human‑in‑the‑loop flows.
• Implement product capabilities as tools via internal APIs and MCP servers, supporting multi‑tenant contexts.
• Own the retrieval pipeline (ingestion, embeddings, vector search, reranking) and improve its quality.
• Define integration contracts and collaborate with host application teams to embed the assistant in diverse front‑end stacks.
• Drive evaluation‑led development by writing evaluators, maintaining CI eval gates, and debugging production behavior.
• Operate the platform, managing deployments, observability, performance, and cost of LLM‑backed services.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong TypeScript expertise across backend, frontend, and agent code.
• 3+ years of production Node.js experience and modern UI framework proficiency (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Production experience with LLM‑based applications, prompt engineering, and retrieval‑augmented generation.
• Hands‑on experience with an agent framework such as LangGraph or LangChain.
