Director of Platform Engineering

About the role

Semperis is seeking an experienced Director of Platform Engineering to lead our global platform and DevOps team, responsible for product infrastructure across SaaS and on‑premises solutions. This global role based in Israel will drive new SaaS offerings while scaling to support large customer bases under strict security requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute platform and DevOps strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Build, mentor, and scale a high‑performing global team of engineers.
• Architect scalable platform solutions that meet enterprise security requirements.
• Optimize developer experience through modern tooling and automation.
• Balance strategic initiatives with operational commitments.
• Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration and technical discussions.
• Ensure platform reliability, performance, and security across all products.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in platform engineering roles.
• 4+ years leading distributed technical teams.
• Proven track record building and scaling SaaS products from the ground up.
• Experience with large‑scale installations under enterprise security requirements.
• Fluent in English and Hebrew, with experience leading multilingual and global teams.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering (preferred).
• Cloud platform certifications and experience in regulated industries (preferred).

Required skills

• Expertise in cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Kubernetes and Docker container orchestration.
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Ansible.
• CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability platforms.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• C# development (advantage).
