Director of Engineering – Performance Management

About the role

The Director of Engineering – Performance Management leads the engineering teams that design, build, and maintain NiCE’s performance‑management (PM) product. This senior position is responsible for delivering high‑quality, scalable, and reliable solutions that serve NiCE’s global customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the PM engineering organization and align it with company goals.
• Oversee design, development, testing, and deployment of PM micro‑services.
• Manage resource planning, delivery milestones, and overall product quality.
• Ensure system capacity planning and operational support for the PM platform.
• Establish and enforce development standards, tools, and methodologies.
• Integrate customer and business requirements into engineering efforts.
• Stay current with AI and agentic technologies such as reasoning models, LLMs, SLMs, AI SDLC, and agents orchestration.
• Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent across a globally distributed team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 12+ years of software engineering experience, focusing on SaaS, machine learning, deep learning and LLMs.
• 6+ years of management experience in large‑scale environments.
• Proven expertise in data technologies and large‑scale distributed systems.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Experience with agentic‑driven development methodologies.

Required skills

• Building horizontally scalable solutions using containers, micro‑services, and big‑data technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and open‑source data tools.
• Knowledge of AI reasoning models, LLMs, SLMs, and AI SDLC.
• Agentic coding and agents orchestration.
• Machine learning and deep learning implementation.
