Customs Product Manager, Israel

About the role

Maersk is looking for a Customs Product Manager for Israel, based in its Ashdod office with regular office presence. The role manages the country's Customs business with end-to-end accountability for P&L performance, commercial growth and operational and service excellence. It balances P&L responsibilities and customer-facing commercial partnership with hands-on operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the country P&L for Maersk Customs, including budgeting and financial planning.
• Develop and execute the Israel Customs (import and export) go-to-market plan with key internal stakeholders.
• Oversee customs brokerage operations across Israel, including financial operations activities.
• Accelerate commercial growth in partnership with sales leadership and strengthen customer relationships to improve retention and satisfaction.
• Ensure consistent, compliant and high-quality service delivery, and improve productivity, cost-to-serve and operational efficiency.
• Manage a large team, including leaders of leaders, with capacity planning and workload allocation.
• Foster a high-performance culture, covering performance management, objective setting, reviews and compensation.
• Monitor service performance against key performance indicators and act as the senior point of contact for customs delivery matters.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the Israeli customs market, practices and relevant legislation.
• Experience in import and export activities and/or freight forwarding in the Israeli market.
• Proven people management experience; experience as a leader of leaders is an advantage.
• Sound P&L management expertise, including optimizing profitability and identifying revenue growth opportunities.
• Strategic, long-term business mindset and strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Approximately 10 years of relevant professional experience is an advantage.
