About the role
Altera is seeking a CAD/DA student to join the AMS PDE (Server/IP Design Team) and contribute to the development of high‑speed communication devices. This fixed‑term internship offers hands‑on experience with industry‑leading EDA tools and AI platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Support and stabilize CAD tools across global teams to enable design, development, and testing.
- Generate detailed analytics dashboards using Cursor (AI platform) and custom scripts.
- Collaborate with development teams and customers to enhance EDA tool functionality.
- Troubleshoot version management systems and complex physical design flows.
Required profile
- Information systems student with at least two years remaining until graduation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Self‑motivated, fast learner, and fluent in English.
Required skills
- Python, Tcl, C++ programming.
- Experience with Linux environments and EDA tools.
- Familiarity with MS SQL Server and Power BI.
- Knowledge of AI platforms such as Cursor and Copilot.
