Senior Field Service Engineer – Engineer in Charge

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer II, Field Service (Engineer in Charge) to indirectly lead a team of engineers supporting advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a high‑volume production environment. The role combines deep technical expertise, leadership, operational ownership and strategic planning to drive equipment reliability, capacity, uptime and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical performance, reliability, and operational readiness of a designated equipment area and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Indirectly lead, coach and develop a team of engineers across shift‑based operations, fostering accountability and technical excellence.
• Partner with customers, manufacturing, engineering and service organizations to support factory expansions, capacity growth and equipment deployment while managing operational risks.
• Serve as the technical authority for the assigned equipment area, leading technology introductions, qualifications and major improvement programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or a related field.
• Strong experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment or advanced high‑tech industries with a proven record of solving complex technical challenges.
• Demonstrated systems‑thinking, advanced troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis capabilities, and experience with reliability improvement and performance optimization methodologies.
• Indirect people leadership and coaching skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% and support shift, weekend and on‑call activities as required.
