Assistant Manager – Room Service

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager for Room Service to oversee daily operations in our hotel’s in‑room dining program. This entry‑level management role involves directing, training and supporting staff to ensure high‑quality food and beverage delivery to guest rooms and hospitality suites while maintaining budgetary targets.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day room service operations, ensuring compliance with policies, standards and procedures.
• Manage shift schedules, supplies, equipment and uniforms for the team.
• Oversee delivery of amenity packages, VIP gifts and group sales functions.
• Coach and evaluate staff performance, handle employee questions, and conduct performance appraisals.
• Assist with budgeting, payroll reporting and financial management to meet or exceed departmental goals.
• Address guest feedback, resolve complaints and continuously improve service quality.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of food‑and‑beverage or culinary experience, or
• Associate degree in Food Service Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
