Assistant Controller

About the role

SciPlay is seeking an Assistant Controller to support its Finance team across US and Israeli business units. The role involves a broad range of accounting, reporting, and operational activities, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and record monthly journal entries for general ledger posting and perform related account reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes in collaboration with Finance leadership.
• Maintain general ledger accounts for legal entities, reporting discrepancies and imbalances.
• Support internal and external auditors during the annual audit, preparing workpapers and schedules.
• Serve as the primary contact for business owners to ensure accurate invoicing through Oracle modules.
• Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation and review of tax filings and statutory reporting.
• Prepare and monitor weekly cash‑flow reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes through automation and AI‑driven tools.
• Manage ad‑hoc special projects as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with CPA certification.
• 2+ years of progressive experience in general accounting and finance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and Israeli GAAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, conditional formulas).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hebrew.
• Self‑motivated, able to work effectively in a fast‑paced, unsupervised environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Service‑oriented with strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking.
• Team player with a proactive approach.
