Senior Python Backend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Backend Engineer to join our engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable micro‑service systems that run in production, collaborating closely with backend, DevOps, data, and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python‑based microservices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code.
• Collaborate with backend, DevOps, data, and product teams on architecture and system design.
• Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and architecture discussions.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimise existing services.
• Help improve development processes, tools, and best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience with Python.
• Proven experience building and maintaining microservices.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical abilities and a growth mindset.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
