Senior C++ Software Engineer (ASIC/Embedded)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join Cisco’s Silicon One team, which builds a unified silicon architecture for web‑scale and service‑provider networks. The role focuses on creating high‑performance software that drives complex infrastructure and interacts closely with ASIC design and hardware teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain C++ code for ASIC‑related software components.
• Collaborate with architecture and design groups to define next‑generation ASIC products.
• Gain deep knowledge of Cisco’s silicon platforms and programming models.
• Integrate software with hardware development processes and validate functionality.

Required profile

• B.Sc or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of professional or academic software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience in C++ or embedded development, or proven knowledge of ASIC design and hardware development processes.
• Ability to quickly ramp on multiple interdisciplinary domains and solve complex problems.
