Maintenance Technician

About the role

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of small to medium‑sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. You will work within the Engineering and Technical Services team, providing preventive maintenance, repairs, and assistance with equipment installations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine inspections, diagnose potential problems, and execute corrective actions.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and track completion using available systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring efficient operation of building systems.
• Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Follow established procedures to solve straightforward problems and communicate information clearly.
• Deliver assigned output under close supervision and guidance.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry loads of 50 lb or more.
• Capability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Strong communication skills for exchanging straightforward information.
• Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
