Budget Control Manager - Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Budget Control Manager to lead financial control of large‑scale renewable energy construction projects in Israel and globally. The role oversees budget planning, cash‑flow management and coordination with financing institutions and senior leadership to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning and budgeting for renewable energy projects from development through handover.
• Monitor and control project budgets, perform actuals vs. budget analysis, cost forecasting and EAC/ETC calculations.
• Support Project Managers on budgeting, risk management, resource allocation and financial coordination.
• Prepare management reports with trend analysis, variance identification and actionable recommendations.
• Drive budget change‑control processes and financial risk management, including lessons‑learned reviews.
• Manage project cash flows, equity and lender funding calls, intercompany transfers and foreign‑exchange hedging.
• Assist in opening and maintaining bank accounts and relationships with lenders and advisors.
• Collaborate with senior management, financing institutions, external auditors and various business units.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering & Management or Accounting.
• 5–8 years of experience in budget control, project controls or financial PMO for complex projects.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, energy or consulting environments.
• Proven track record managing large CAPEX budgets and cost forecasting.
• Strong analytical abilities and capability to work in a matrix organization.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel abroad 3–4 times per year.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of SAP (advantage).
