Engineering Manager

About the role

Guardz is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead one of its product engineering teams and help scale its cybersecurity platform. The ideal candidate is AI‑first, experienced in large‑scale product environments, and capable of turning product needs into reliable, high‑performance engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor a high‑performing engineering team, fostering ownership and growth.
• Promote an AI‑first engineering culture and leverage modern tools to boost velocity.
• Drive delivery of customer‑facing features with strong quality, performance, scalability, and reliability standards.
• Identify and resolve performance and architectural bottlenecks for future scale.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Security Research, and other stakeholders to set priorities and deliver impact.
• Stay hands‑on with design, architecture, and problem‑solving as needed.
• Own end‑to‑end execution from planning through continuous improvement.
• Continuously improve development practices, including CI/CD, testing, and cloud infrastructure.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
• Proven track record building large‑scale products serving a significant customer base.
• Strong experience with performance‑sensitive, reliable systems and SLA requirements.
• Deep system design and architectural expertise, especially for multi‑tenant environments.
• Product and business orientation linking engineering decisions to customer impact.
• Demonstrated adoption of AI‑first development practices.
• Experience thriving in fast‑paced, dynamic environments.
• Hands‑on technical capability to support the team on complex challenges.
• Solid experience with cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
