Core Network Software Team Leader

About the role

Check Point SASE is looking for an experienced, hands‑on Software Team Leader to drive the development of core components of its Network‑as‑a‑Service platform. You will combine people leadership with deep technical involvement, shaping architecture, writing production code and solving complex networking, cloud and performance challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of software engineers.
• Define and drive the architecture of core Network‑as‑a‑Service components.
• Stay hands‑on by writing code, designing technical solutions and tackling complex problems.
• Build high‑performance, cloud‑native networking services using VPP, DPDK and Kubernetes.
• Promote engineering excellence and create an environment where engineers can grow.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience managing a software development team.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands‑on programming in Go, C++, C or Python.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, routing and tunneling.
• Experience with Linux‑based systems and cloud environments.
• Background in high‑scale production environments, preferably on‑premises or cloud‑based Kubernetes.
