xEngineer (Backend Oriented) - Wix Code Infrastructure

About the role

Wix is hiring an xEngineer focused on its Code Infrastructure team in Tel Aviv. The team builds the foundations that power thousands of web applications, developing serverless solutions, custom database integrations and scalable systems that let users build sophisticated web apps. The team owns the critical systems behind the serverless platform, works closely with DevOps engineers, and is described as hands-on builders who modify or create solutions from the ground up.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Java/Scala, Node.js or similar).
• Solid understanding of database technologies and optimization techniques.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Technical curiosity and strong communication skills within a team.

Required skills

• Distributed systems and microservice architecture.
• Containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• An advantage: familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure).
