Vice President of People (HR Leader)

About the role

Darrow is seeking a Vice President of People to partner directly with the CEO and senior leadership as the company scales globally. This senior HR leader will shape culture, drive performance, and embed a "People First" mindset across a fast‑growing legal‑tech startup.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a global People strategy aligned with Darrow’s mission and growth plans.
• Lead culture and change‑management initiatives, ensuring the Darrow Creed is lived daily.
• Partner with leaders on performance management, employee relations, leadership development, and org‑design challenges.
• Own the full employee lifecycle: employer branding, talent acquisition, onboarding, development, and respectful off‑boarding across all geographies.
• Run performance and feedback cycles, retain top talent, and raise performance standards as the team expands.
• Design and deliver leadership and manager development programs, fostering AI‑native ways of working.
• Manage People infrastructure: compensation, leveling, global employment (PEOs/EORs), benefits, People systems, and in‑house AI tools.

Required profile

• 10+ years in People roles at fast‑growing technology companies, with hands‑on experience across talent acquisition, People partnering, L&D, and employee experience.
• 5+ years leading People functions as a VP, Head, or Director, including experience in a successful scaling organization.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders, drive cultural change, and build high‑performing teams.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of global compensation, leveling, and employment models (PEO/EOR).
• Expertise in People systems and data‑driven People analytics.
• Experience designing and delivering leadership development and performance management programs.
