Technical Manager – Airborne Communication Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Manager to lead the development and integration of advanced airborne communication systems for our Haifa site. The role involves coordinating technical interfaces across multiple airborne platforms, both in Israel and worldwide, and ensuring successful delivery from final development through flight testing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all technical interfaces in airborne radio projects, from development to system integration.
• Manage complex technical projects in collaboration with other divisions, maintaining close contact with program managers and customers.
• Oversee final development phases, focusing on software completion, troubleshooting, failure investigations, and flight‑test support.
• Hold overall responsibility for system configuration control, integration with control and monitoring systems, and implementation in production lines (NPI processes).
• Provide system‑level technical leadership, solving multidisciplinary challenges with software and engineering teams.
• Ensure optimal integration of the system within various airborne platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Aeronautical, or Software Engineering (mandatory).
• Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or Technological Management (advantage).
• Proven experience in technical management or leadership of multidisciplinary systems (mandatory).
• Familiarity with airborne communication or embedded systems (advantage).
• Ability to work effectively with multiple interfaces in Israel and abroad, including development divisions, production, and customers.
• High proficiency in technical English.
