System Chip Validation Intern

About the role

The Chip Validation team validates Marvell's networking SoCs after tape-out, developing automated validation solutions, running system-level tests and working with Architecture, Design, Firmware and Software teams. Marvell is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented System Validation Student to validate complex switch designs for functionality, performance and reliability. The role involves hands-on work with Python scripting, test automation and traffic generation tools such as Ixia.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement test plans and validation suites for networking switch features.
• Develop scalable test automation frameworks using Python.
• Run validation tests, analyze results, debug hardware, software and system-level failures and drive root-cause analysis.
• Interface with Architecture, Design and Pre-silicon Validation teams.
• Understand end-to-end system scenarios.

Required profile

• 2nd/3rd year student for a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field, with at least 2 years before graduation.
• Hands-on experience in automation development (Python, C++) and a strong interest in AI-assisted tools for test creation, automation and debugging.
• Self-learning skills, well-organized documentation and research process, and excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team.
• Ability to understand complex systems from a high-level architectural view while attending to implementation details.
