Wireless Connectivity System and Architecture Engineer
intel · Petah-Tikva
Job description
About the role
Intel is looking for a Wireless Connectivity System and Architecture Engineer to join its engineering team. The role owns system-level integration, validation and optimization of wireless connectivity SoCs and platforms, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and related technologies, while also contributing to the system architecture of next-generation products. It sits at the intersection of hardware, firmware, software and architecture, driving issues from early bring-up through production readiness.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to end-to-end system integration of wireless connectivity SoCs and platforms, and drive silicon bring-up, feature enablement and system readiness.
- Contribute to the definition of the system architecture, considering power efficiency, performance and scalability.
- Integrate wireless IPs across hardware, firmware, driver and OS layers, and turn integration learnings into architectural improvements.
- Debug complex issues across analog, digital, firmware and software domains, run validation strategies and stress scenarios, and perform root cause analysis.
- Use AI/ML-based tools and data analytics to accelerate log analysis, anomaly detection and automated failure triage.
- Analyze and optimize performance, latency, throughput, power consumption and coexistence, and support trade-off decisions between features, power, performance and schedule.
- Collaborate with architecture, design, firmware, software, validation and product teams, and act as a technical focal point for system-level wireless topics.
- Produce technical documentation, integration and design guidelines, issue reports and recommendations, and promote AI-assisted engineering and automation.
Required profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in system integration or system validation of complex SoC-based products, and exposure to system architecture or specification work for SoC or wireless products.
- Strong understanding of wireless connectivity technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, coexistence); preferred: wireless SoC bring-up or post-silicon validation experience.
- Familiarity with semiconductor technologies and SoC development processes.
Required skills
- Working proficiency with Python/scripting and AI/GenAI tools to automate data analysis, debug and validation flows.
- Hands-on use of GenAI/LLM assistants for code, test and documentation generation.
- Experience applying AI/ML techniques to log analysis, anomaly detection or automated failure triage.
- Preferred: familiarity with firmware, drivers, low-level software, power management, system-level modelling and simulation, and wireless protocol standards.
The role is based in Israel (Petah-Tikva, with additional locations in Haifa) and is eligible for a hybrid work model.
