Software Modeling Engineering Technical Lead

About the role

Cisco Silicon One Modelling is looking for a Software Modeling Engineering Technical Lead in Tel Aviv. The team builds an accurate reference software model of next-generation networking devices, and you will develop a functional simulator for the Cisco SiliconOne family of devices that streamlines development and reduces time-to-market.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with the ASIC Architecture team to implement an accurate and efficient software model based on architecture specifications.
• Partner with Software and Hardware design teams, supporting them as they use the simulator as the golden reference for hardware implementation.
• Ensure the simulator meets high standards of performance, reliability and usability.
• Help define best practices and methodologies for model development, validation and integration.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of technical experience in a large corporate environment.
• Preferred: hands-on ASIC development experience (architecture, design or verification).

Required skills

• Strong background in logic design and system-level architecture.
• Software engineering experience in C++.
• Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols.
• Preferred: experience with ASIC-related software such as SDKs, firmware or low-level system software, and proficiency in Python.
