Software Engineering Tech Lead – Identity & Security Platforms

About the role

Cisco's Enterprise Networking Security Policy Access Development team in Israel builds scalable security policy and access solutions that protect organizations worldwide. As a Software Engineering Technical Leader, you will drive the technical vision and execution of complex security policy and access solutions, leveraging deep expertise in systems programming with C, C++ and Java.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop robust, scalable software for security policy and access solutions
• Mentor peers and guide architectural decisions
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Champion software programmability and integrate automation and orchestration practices into development

Required profile

• BA in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of software engineering experience in systems programming with complex codebases using C, C++ or Java
• 3+ years of technical leadership and mentoring engineering teams
• Experience building scalable software architectures and implementing automation and orchestration in the SDLC

Preferred qualifications

• Understanding of network security, certificate validation and threat modeling
• Hands-on experience with cryptography, TLS internals or Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC)
• Hands-on experience with AI coding
• Understanding of modern attack methods
• Excellent communication skills with cross-functional partners
