Senior Sourcing Team Lead – Strategic Procurement

About the role

The Senior Sourcing Team Lead drives strategic sourcing across assigned commodities, suppliers and sites, aligning sourcing execution with business objectives and customer requirements. This role mentors junior team members while leading cost‑reduction, supplier consolidation and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional sourcing strategies, including spend analysis, supplier segmentation and sourcing roadmaps.
• Lead complex RFQ/RFP processes, negotiate contracts, evaluate bids and formulate sourcing recommendations.
• Manage supplier performance through scorecards, corrective actions and risk‑mitigation activities.
• Coach and mentor Sourcing Specialists and Purchasing personnel, overseeing onboarding and workload prioritisation.
• Drive process‑improvement projects focused on standardisation, automation and ERP/Procure‑to‑Pay enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years progressive experience in sourcing, procurement or supply‑chain functions.
• Minimum 2 years in a senior, lead or mentoring capacity.
• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, CIPS or APICS are preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, technology or industrial‑service environments.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Priority).
• Familiarity with Procure‑to‑Pay platforms (Coupa or similar).
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
