AMHS Equipment Technician

About the role

The Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) team at Intel ensures seamless operation of cutting‑edge manufacturing facilities. As an AMHS Equipment Technician you will maintain and troubleshoot equipment that stores and transports wafers and reticles in a clean‑room environment, directly supporting Intel’s global technology mission.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Disassemble, repair, reassemble, and install equipment according to blueprints, layout plans, and technical manuals.
• Conduct setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance, coordinating with suppliers for service and repairs.
• Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to improve reliability and address module‑related problems.
• Create reports on equipment failures and update specifications to enhance maintenance processes.
• Support engineering experiments, equipment configuration changes, and data collection to meet production goals.
• Collaborate with module engineering during factory ramps to ensure proper tool installation and conversion.

Required profile

• Practical Engineer degree in Electronics, Electricity, Mechanical or related field.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on electronics or electromechanical experience (including student work).
• Ability to work in shifts and commit to a long‑term position.
• Proficient written and reading English skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally (US, EU).
• Team‑oriented attitude.
